The Society of Daughters of Mary Immaculate and Collaborators (DMI Sisters) is a religious congregation of devoted sisters and novices committed to spiritual and psychosocial upliftment through pastoral care and community development. Rooted in faith and compassion, DMI’s mission is to serve families affected by conflict, and to empower marginalized women and children across South Sudan.
Since 2019, DMI Sisters have actively supported the communities affected by fightings where mass killing and displacements have since been taking place. Our efforts focus on provision of emergency food items, health care support to the sick and injured and engaging in the advocating of peace and reconciliation among different fighting groups.
DMI remains committed to delivering non discriminatory non judgemental support to all the people affected by conflict within areas trapped in violence in South Sudan.
A world where everyone, especially the poor, live with dignity and are empowered to guide their own development to prosperity.
To enable underprivileged communities especially women, children, and youth, to become champions of change.
